This Privacy Policy explains how Upskly ("we", "us", "our") operating at https://upsklyai.com and through the Upskly Android app collects, uses, and protects information when you use our course platform.

By using Upskly you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. What information we collect

We collect information in the following circumstances:

• Account signup: Your name, and either a mobile number or email address, which we verify with a one-time password (OTP) sent by SMS/WhatsApp or email. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
• Course enrolment and payment: When you purchase a course, we record the course, plan, and amount paid. We do not collect or store your card, UPI, or bank details directly — payments are processed by Razorpay, which has its own privacy policy.
• Learning activity: Your video watch progress, quiz attempts and scores, notes, playground/code exercises, and lesson completion status — so we can resume you where you left off, track completion for certificates, and show you your progress.
• Referrals: If you refer another learner, we record the link between your account and theirs so referral rewards can be credited correctly.
• App and device data (Android app): Basic device information needed to run the app, and any lessons you choose to download for offline viewing, which are stored only within the app's private storage on your device.
• Support communications: If you contact us for help, we collect whatever you share with us — name, contact details, and the content of your message.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and secure your account, and verify it's really you via OTP
• Give you access to the courses you've enrolled in, for as long as your enrolment is active
• Track lesson/quiz progress so you can resume where you left off and earn certificates on completion
• Process payments and send order confirmations, receipts, and enrolment-expiry reminders
• Credit referral rewards to the right account
• Respond to support requests
• Improve the platform and fix problems
• Comply with legal and tax obligations

We do not sell your personal information to any third party, and we do not use your learning data for advertising.

3. How we store your data

Your account and learning data is stored securely in our database, hosted in India. Video lessons are streamed via our video CDN provider rather than stored on your device, except for lessons you explicitly download in the Android app — those are encrypted to the app's own private storage, are not accessible to other apps, and expire automatically.

You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at support@upsklyai.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days, subject to any records we're legally required to retain (e.g. for tax purposes).

4. Third parties

We use the following third-party services, which may process your data as part of delivering the platform:

• Razorpay: Payment processing for course purchases. Subject to Razorpay's Privacy Policy.
• Video CDN provider: Streams and, where applicable, secures our video lessons.
• WhatsApp / SMS providers: Deliver OTP codes and account notifications.
• Google: "Continue with Google" sign-in, and Google Fonts for typography. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Cookies and local storage

The website uses cookies and local storage, and the Android app uses on-device storage, to:

• Keep you logged in between visits
• Remember in-progress video position and playback preferences
• Understand how the site is used, so we can improve it

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Some features — like staying logged in — won't work correctly without them.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent for data processing at any time
